Kindergarten through 8th Grade Staff

Mrs. DePasquale — Kindergarten

I was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan, and graduated from Concordia University Chicago, majoring in Early Childhood Education. After graduation I married my husband, Robert, and moved down here to south Florida. I was fortunate enough to start my teaching career here at OSL in the fall of 2007. I cannot imagine working anywhere else, and consider the OSL staff my second family.

My favorite Bible verse is one that reminds me of all the students I have been blessed to teach: "I thank my God every time I remember you" Philippians 1:3

Her mission is to find out what motivates each student, and to help get each student develop a love for learning.

Ms. Volz — 4th/5th Grades

Working at Our Savior Lutheran School is truly a blessing. I have been a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church since 1980 when my father accepted a call to be the pastor. I attended 1-8 grades at this school, formerly known as Lutheran Central School. I went to college at Lenoir-Rhyne University and began working at OSL in 2008 as a certified teacher. I enjoy all sports and have had the privilege of coaching boys and girls volleyball teams and the field hockey teams here at OSL.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6)

I grew up in New Jersey and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Tampa, in Tampa, Florida. Mrs. Harter – Art

Mrs. Pozzo — 1st Grade

Right after earning my Teacher Certification I also completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I started teaching in 1999. I consider teaching my vocation, more than my profession. I truly enjoy working with children (and their families) and feel blessed to be able to guide them every day. I trust in our Lord’s wisdom and do it with great professional dedication and love.

I have been happily married since 2000. Our 2 children attend Our Savior Lutheran School too. I feel very fortunate and happy to be part of such a wonderful school as a staff member and as a parent.

One of my favorite Bible verses found in Philippians 4:13 is: “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”

Mrs. Becker — Language Arts (6th Grade Homeroom)

After graduating from Concordia University in Chicago, with a B.A. in Education, I accepted a Call to teach English at Walther Lutheran High School. The following summer, I married my husband, Jeremy, and we were Called to move to St. Louis. While there, I had the pleasure of teaching English at Lutheran High School South and, then, of being a stay-at-home mom for eight years. Thirteen years after moving to St. Louis, the Lord asked us to relocate again, this time to Florida. My husband serves as the DCE at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Weston. Our daughters, Mikayla and Natalie, both attend Our Savior Lutheran. I am blessed to be a part of the faculty of such a wonderful school, and I am thankful to be working with middle school students in both reading and language arts.

Mrs. Donovan — 4th/5th Grade Assistant

SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST ………..This well known adage reflects my years in the field of education. My classroom experience that includes Kindergarten, First Grade, and Fourth Grade began in 1969. Being a floating teacher assistant at Our Savior since 2004 has been a privilege and a blessing. I truly consider my years at Our Savior to be the BEST of all my experiences.
