I was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan, and graduated from Concordia University Chicago, majoring in Early Childhood Education. After graduation I married my husband, Robert, and moved down here to south Florida. I was fortunate enough to start my teaching career here at OSL in the fall of 2007. I cannot imagine working anywhere else, and consider the OSL staff my second family.
My favorite Bible verse is one that reminds me of all the students I have been blessed to teach: "I thank my God every time I remember you" Philippians 1:3
I was born in Milwaukee and raised in the Chicago area. I attended college in New Mexico where I received a double bachelor degree as well as my teaching license. This is also where I met my husband whom, I married the day after we both graduated. We have three children; Matt, who is married to Laura, Taryn and Brian.
I taught 20 years in Texas and retired to the Sunshine state in 2015.
I am now blessed and extremely happy to have a new “home” here at OSL. I am so lucky to get to work each day with not only wonderful children and parents but a staff that exemplifies a Christian work environment. God willing I will be here for many more years.

I was born in Brazil and majored in Fashion Design and Luxury Brand Management at Instituto Marangoni in Milan, where I met and married my husband, Diego.
I have two children who currently attend Our Savior and feel very blessed to be with them here everyday. OSL has welcomed me with open arms and I love being a part of this community.

SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST ………..This well known adage reflects my years in the field of education. My classroom experience that includes Kindergarten, First Grade, and Fourth Grade began in 1969. Being a floating teacher assistant at Our Savior since 2004 has been a privilege and a blessing. I truly consider my years at Our Savior to be the BEST of all my experiences.
In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Prov.3:6
Working at Our Savior Lutheran School is truly a blessing. I have been a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church since 1980 when my father accepted a call to be the pastor. I attended 1-8 grades at this school, formerly known as Lutheran Central School. I went to college at Lenoir-Rhyne University and began working at OSL in 2008 as a certified teacher. I enjoy all sports and have had the privilege of coaching boys and girls volleyball teams and the field hockey teams here at OSL.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6)
After graduating from Concordia University in Chicago, with a B.A. in Education, I accepted a Call to teach English at Walther Lutheran High School. The following summer, I married my husband, Jeremy, and we were Called to move to St. Louis. While there, I had the pleasure of teaching English at Lutheran High School South and, then, of being a stay-at-home mom for eight years. Thirteen years after moving to St. Louis, the Lord asked us to relocate again, this time to Florida. My husband serves as the DCE at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Weston. Our daughters, Mikayla and Natalie, both attend Our Savior Lutheran. I am blessed to be a part of the faculty of such a wonderful school, and I am thankful to be working with middle school students in both reading and language arts.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27
I received my B.G.S from East Tennessee State University and Master of Art in teaching from Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee. Before becoming a teacher I served the U.S. Army , owned and operated a mobile auto repair facility, and work for my father as a environmental specialist. In addition to teaching, I am a regular volunteer for different organizations and an enthusiastic Dolphins fan. I currently work a few nights a week umpiring for South Florida Umpire Association. I am a single father of two adult daughters. My oldest daughter, Kelsey is a manager for Wal-mart, while my youngest, Kristin just started her first job at Subway.
Romans 5:3-5 Not only so, but we also glory in our suffering, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character; character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
As the art teacher at OSL, it is my wish for students that each class will enlighten their hearts with a bit of faith , wisdom , and confidence.
As the bible verse states, " Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the lord not for men." Colossians 3:23; it is my mission to center on the hearts of the children, helping them grow in the relationship to the Lord. It is a privilege to watch your child grow and learn, and to be a part of their journey to Christian maturity. With this opportunity as their art teacher, I will work with all my heart, centering on the hearts of children because I believe what is in their hearts now, shapes their future.
