Elementary School Teachers Welcome You

Our Savior Lutheran Church and  School has been a blessing to my family. Dropping off my daughter each morning is such a joy. She has blossomed into a great little girl. The teachers are like family members. It amazes me how they literally know every kid and the parents.
Thank you for all that you do each and every day.

We have now had our son enrolled in OSL for 3 years, since kindergarten, and felt right from the start, that we had found the perfect school for him to stay in until his high school years. OSL is a hidden gem in Plantation, and we not only love but appreciate its small but mighty size in relation to students and class size. OSL staff has always been open and encouraging and engaging. Our son only started to bloom academically and socially when he started OSL in first grade. OSL has given several options for parents and students for the return to school for the 2020-21 school year which we greatly appreciated during such confusing times. I could go on with explaining how wonderful the teachers and staff are or how we wanted a good Christian education, but overall we as parents and our son are very happy at OSL.

OSL school is awesome because everyone here is like family. I have been a student here since pre-k2. All my teachers have been outstanding. I have also made some great friends. I am so blessed to be a student at OSL because I learn a lot about math which is my favorite subject.

We have been a part of the OSL family for two years now. Our daughter has flourished in her time here. All of her teachers have been extraordinary. Every day she is excited to go to school and learn more and more. The community of students, teachers, staff and families at OSL is second to none.

When we enrolled our son in the 18 month class at OSL, we searched high and low to find the right place. I wanted low teacher to student ratios and to not feel like a number. Now, 7 years later our son is thriving and in second grade. He could tell you about all of his teachers and what he learned from them. To him OSL is not just a school, it his part of his family. This could not be more evident in today’s pandemic times. I don’t worry about his safety or learning because I know that they are doing everything they possibly can to ensure the kids are safe and learning.

I was brought here by a family member, needless to say this school and its staff wins over your heart. The small size and Christian values make it hard to compare to other schools. Kids here are seen as individuals and not social security numbers.  Everyone knows your kids’ names and cares for what happens to them.  My kids are always happy to go to Our Savior Lutheran School in the morning. I highly recommend this school, this experience, this community!

My kids have been part of this amazing school for about 5 years. My kids are in different grades and in various programs so I’ve had the pleasure to meet most of the staff and teachers. There’s not enough superlatives to describe my kids education and the school personnel. I feel truly bless that OSL is part of our lives.

We never want to take it for granted that our son is in an awesome environment at Our Savior Lutheran School. OSL is like a second home to our son. He has been attending OSL since he was 2 years old. He has grown leaps and bounds socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually. He still has his challenges but we are thankful for the dedicated teachers and staff who not only praise him for his accomplishments but care enough to correct him when he blows it and partner with us to teach him a better way. Teaching a child takes patience, caring, humor, energy, and God’s love… to name a few. We are thankful for a staff that is committed to training our child to be a God lover, people lover and also challenge him academically so that he has the skills to succeed in life.

I am a stay at home mom and decided to take advantage of the VPK program to prepare my daughter. This was the first year my daughter was away from me and I was beyond pleased from my initial tour , first day of school and still to this day. The staff truly cares about not only the children, but communicating with the families. My daughter is very happy and looks forward to going everyday, we continue to see her grow and mature as the time goes on. Very happy we chose this school for VPK and that she had a positive first experience with “school”. A big thank you to the teamwork from the staff at OSL!

Our son has been attending OSL since he was 2 years old. All we can say is GO SAINTS! The teachers, principal, and staff are awesome. They have cared for our son so well. He is growing in character, love for others, and is getting a great education. The teachers don’t hesitate to tell us the good and bad stuff he does. We are grateful for the communication so that we can address problems before they get out of hand or give praise when needed. Most of all, our son comes home happy most days, and we don’t worry when we drop him off at school.

We are blessed to be part of OSL Plantation school. Since the first time we contacted them inquiring about enrollment, we felt we found the place where we belong. Mrs. Root and the office staff have been so kind in any way, and always available to answer questions or to provide assistance.
My children are always happy and eager to go to school.
We blessed to have Mrs. Keim, Ms. Montealegre, and Ms. Manuel as their teachers. They are kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely care for their students.  Our children enjoyed their classes. The teachers not only help them to learn and understand new concepts, but also help them to learn in a fun way.

This is our third year at Our Savior Lutheran school and we could not be happier! The teachers are fantastic, and they really care about the children. We are very excited that both of our children can be a part of this terrific school.

Our Savior Lutheran School has been a wonderful learning and growth experience for me. This school has provided friends, religion, and most importantly education. Every one at this school is extremely nice, respectful, and welcoming. I really enjoy this school, and if you were to send your child anywhere for an education, it should be to Our Savior Lutheran.

When me and my husband were searching for a school for my daughter, I knew I wanted a safe space where my child could freely express who she is. What I found in OSLS is a place where my child is finding her personality. She feels safe expressing herself in Art, Spanish and Music. Mrs. DePasquale and Mrs. Reeve uses creative skills to challenge my child and bring her out of her shell to become the person she was designed to be. They take adventures every week to different countries across the globe; they are promoting values that are teaching my daughter how to be a better global citizen. Every person who I have met at the school treats me and my family with a welcoming spirit and we as a family will be at OSLS for years to come.

My husband and I chose Our Savior Lutheran School/Church because we were looking for a school that had a warm loving feeling to it. We were a little nervous because our daughter is super shy. We were given the opportunity to sit down and speak with the office staff and they graciously answered all of our questions and concerns.  In addition, they walked with us to look around all of the classrooms. We met some of the teachers; they were very welcoming to my daughter. They had her sit down and watch what the other children were doing while we talked about what they do in school.   By the time we walked out, I felt a sense of relief because even though we would be letting our baby go, we knew in our hearts that she was going to be in amazing hands.  The teachers and staff really care about the children; not just their education but making them feel like they mean the world to them.  We are now in Kindergarten and we have met so many amazing people. The church and school staff have been so supportive to not only our daughter but to our whole family. They have made us feel like we are all a family, we cry together, we laugh together, and we celebrate together.  We love that our child is getting an education not only in academics but, also religion.  We have come to realize that this school isn’t like other schools.  It is truly a blessing to be a part of such an amazing school.

We love Our Savior Lutheran School in Plantation, it’s an amazing school with excellent and supportive environment .The teachers are the most awesome and caring teachers and the staff are wonderful .We are very happy with our choice.

We are new to OSL this year. We are so grateful to have joined this amazing school and community. My children – even in the midst of a pandemic – could not possibly be happier than they are at OSL. OSL has the perfect mixture of academics and fun! My children have the best day every day while they are learning and growing tremendously academically and emotionally. I could not imagine more caring, dedicated teachers. I am beyond impressed with absolutely everything at OSL. You will not find a more loving, wonderful school.

As parents, we wanted to find a preschool that reflects our faith, builds students’ character and strives to meet educational goals. We found all of this and so much more in Our Savior Lutheran. Our Savior is a warm, caring place where everyone is treated with respect. They hire truly special teachers and staff that are kind, sweet and encouraging. The curriculum is highly interactive and engaging for students. I appreciate that teachers put together projects and hands-on centers that enhance learning. On a personal note, I find that if my family is ever in need of prayers, kind words or just a simple phone call, Our Savior is right by our side. Our Savior always reaches out to ensure their families are cared for. We could not be happier with our choice to educate our daughter at Our Savior because it is not just a school, it is a LOVING FAMILY.

We are so happy with OSL. We are new to the school from the public school system. We could not be happier with the quality of the education my son has received in his second grade class from Mrs. Keim. He loves school and feels so comfortable there. He is challenged academically and remains motivated to learn. He also has a lot of fun participating in PE and recess. What a great decision it was to attend OSL!

We are so incredibly thankful for our children to be at this school. They have been welcomed with open arms by EVERYONE!! The kindness, support, and understanding we have all received during this “different time” is just what this world needs! Again, we are just so very thankful!

To my OSL family,
I would just like to thank you for taking care of me since I was a little girl. You have helped me develop into the person I am today. I am so blessed and grateful that God led me to the right school. The teachers I have had from Preschool to eighth grade have each taught me a unique lesson to use throughout life and that is something I will never forget. I want to give you a graduation picture to show that you guys were with me along my journey and helped push me to get my degree. THANK YOU!

I’ve always been a fan of this place I consider a safe haven, but never more than now. The staff and families work together more than ever to keep our babies safe while still benefiting from in person learning. To our family, that is of utmost importance. We think these formative years help shape who our kids will become as adults, and they are going to great extents to keep it as normal as possible. The teachers work tirelessly to put together these 50x more complex and descriptive lesson plans that can be understood and followed by at home families as well… I hope they know how much they are appreciated. We have been a part of OSL since 2008. We have had the pleasure of both our children having the opportunity to attend such an amazing school and church. The staff truly cares for not only the students but the families. The teachers take the time and have patience with each student the small class size gives our kids the one on one attention they may need. There are so many fun activities done throughout the year but our most important was the relationship our kids had with the Lord. Learning about Him and attending chapel was most important for us. The plays they preform and songs that they sing melt my heart each time . This school provides so much, and it’s a great experience for not only the children but the parents. I am so thankful God led us to OSL, so our kids could have an opportunity to learn and become such great individuals. I will always recommend this school to others, and we are forever grateful.

It is the pleasure of the D’Angelo family to share our perspective of Our Savior Lutheran. Our young sons have been part of the preschool grades for the past four years and have received academic instruction that is second to none in the Broward County area. As parents, we wanted an environment that included spiritual and educational nurturing, we indeed found both at OSL. The sense of community is apparent as the entire faculty knows the children across grade levels and parents are encouraged to be involved and visible. Our children have learned character traits such as respect of others, confidence and leadership all within a smaller teacher/student ratio setting. Academically, the curriculum is age appropriate, challenging and goals communicated weekly with parents. During the summer months, we take part in the variety of camps offered and VBS activities that we look forward to each year. It is our pleasure to be part of the Our Savior Lutheran School family.

My favorite things about OSL…I like how my friends are artistic, smart, kind, and funny.  Some of the activities I enjoy here are basketball, ensemble, and helping others. I also like how I can be myself around them.  Here, they teach us about God and how Christ should be a part of our daily lives.

Some of my favorite things about OSL are that there are wonderful, nice teachers, awesome students, fun activities, but mainly that we learn about spreading the Word of God. I love how they teach us to make good choices.

Our Savior Lutheran School is the best school ever because everyone is very nice.  It is easy to for you to make friends.  The teachers help you learn new things.  If you are hurt the teachers and kids will help you.  If you are sad they will cheer you up.  At school our teachers teach you about God.
